A Familiar Ampelopsis
There are several species of ampelopsis with which Mr. Burbank has worked extensively. The spray here shown is the familiar Ampelopsis quinquefolia, commonly known as the Virginia Creeper, and sometimes spoken of as the "five-leaved ivy." Mr. Burbank. has performed interesting hybridizing experiments with members of the family and has produced some rather important new varieties of crossbred ampelopsis.
