These seedlings in a plot in Mr. Burbank's garden have grown from seeds sent by missionaries and by travelers. These plants are mostly unnamed, and they are here being given the opportunity to reveal themselves. Mr. Burbank has received thousands of specimens from all parts of the world, and he looks upon each seed as possible material for interesting and valuable future experiments.
