Such a flower as this is rather troublesome for the pollenizer, as its cluster of stamens must be removed, to make sure that self-fertilization does not occur. This may be effected with a small pair of pincers. Of course care must be taken not to injure the stigma, which is to be fertilized with pollen from another flower.
