Seedling Trees Awaiting Transplantation
When a shipment of seedling trees can not be immediatelly transplanted, they should be partly buried in pure sand or a very sandy soil. For cuttings, also, sand is better than ordinary soil. Seedlings or cuttings thus guarded may await the convenience of the gardener without injury.
