Fruit of the Guava
The Guava is a sub-tropical fruit that has only recently been given attention in California, and in our southern states. It Is chiefly known in temperate climates as the producer of a very admirable jelly of unusual piquancy and unique quality. Very little has been done hitherto in the way of improving the fruit, but now that it Is claiming the attention of the plant developer, it will doubtless be greatly modifled. Unfortunately it is too tender to be grown anywhere in the United States except along the Pacific Coast and about the Gulf.
