More Nondescript Apples
Illustrating the wide diversity among apples of the same inheritance. The apple has been so long under cultivation and has been developed under such diversified conditions of soil and climate, that its germ plasm contains miscellaneous factors of great diversity. Just which ones of these factors will make themselves manifest in any given case, it is impossible to say, and the uncertainty adds zest to the work of the fruit developer.
