A Typical Chinese Plum
This is the plum technically known as the Prunus Simoni, its specific scientific name being given in honor of the man who introduced it into Europe. The Chinese plum was one of Mr. Burbank's earliest importations, and its hereditary strains have been blended with those of many other varieties in the gardens at Santa Rosa and Sebastopol.
