Success at Last
After many discouragements, Mr. Burbank finally produced, through successive selections and recrossings, a nearly perfect stoneless prune, which was named the Conquest. It was the result of crossing a partially stoneless plum with the French prune. This fruit, as here shown, has the good qualities of the good qualities of the French prune, and yet is almost entirely stoneless. It was first brought out in Mr. Burbank's catalog of 1911-12.
