More Material for Artichoke Selection
There is almost endless variety of size and form and flavor about the artichokes in Mr. Burbank's modern colony. Some of those already developed are approaching perfection, as we have seen; others, like the present specimen, show interesting possibilities, and will be utilized in further crossbreeding experiments; for with the artichoke, as with other horticultural products, there is merit in new varieties, even when varieties already in hand have attained relative perfection.
