Broom Corn

Broom corn bears a very close resemblance to its distant cousin, the familiar corn plant of field and garden; but it has the peculiarity if developing an extremely tough fibrous tassel, furnishing an inimitable material for the making of brooms. The plant would repay cultivation in many regions where it is neglected.
