"Pod" Corn Variations
Here are a few of the anomalous types of corn crowing in a sort of pod, that probably represent stages of evolution of corn during the process of its development. These specimens were of course raised in Mr. Burbank's gardens in a recent year; but they are reminiscent of a time when the best ears of corn in existence were probably not very different from these.
