Propagating for Quick Results

Here three slabs of the cactus have been planted together. Each of them will take root, and the production of the new slabs will go ahead with proportionate rapidity. With quick-fruiting in view, such an expedient as this is desirable. The cactus slab takes root equally well whether it is placed on the ground on its side or on the edge, or at either end. It is a hard vegetable to discourage.
